Welcome to the Ponsonby Cruising Club.

You will find a variety of racing and cruising events to suit the occasion, for those wanting serious racing there’s the usual weekend regattas with an additional out of harbour distance race in February, the Friday evening non-spinnaker races, class championship regattas, and for the not so serious racer there’s the monthly cruising weekends.

If you have children or know of any that have a keen interest in yachting then direct them to our Sailing School to learn not only about how to sail but also how to be water-wise. The Ponsonby Sailing School also caters for adults wanting to up skill to either sail a dinghy or to be a greater contributor on a keel boat.

Our mission is to be a progressive, financially sound, high profile boating club reflecting our nautical heritage in attractive, secured, fully utilised premises at Westhaven, and to provide quality rewarding training, sailing and social activities within a friendly atmosphere, competently run by voluntary and paid personnel.

We trust you will have fun being a part of our club and look forward to seeing you out on the harbour and the gulf this season.
