Notice of Race - The Ned Women's Series - Spring 2023

Spring Series Scheduled Dates:

Race 1: Oct 10. Race 2: Oct 24. Race 3: Nov 7. Race 4: Nov 21. Race 5: Dec. 5. Race 6: Dec.19.

Entry fees:

PCC members: $20.00 per Race, Spring Series $100.00.
Non-PCC Members: $30.00, per Race, Spring Series $180.00.

Special Sailing Instructions & Safety Requirements:

All boats may sail with a maximum of 50% male crew members.
If the number of crew members is uneven the male members will be the lesser.
A woman shall helm at all times except in the event of an emergency i.e. a situation where a collision, injury or damage could occur, a male on board may take the helm.

Courses:

Courses will be 2023-2024 Harbour Courses as defined on the Club website & PCC APP.

Laminated copies of the PCC Courses and the Chart are available at the club.

Start Time:  1815 hrs

Warning Signal: Purple

Time Limit: The time limit for the first boat to finish will be 2.5 hours.

Scoring: The fleet will be scored as a single fleet. Individual Classes or Divisions may be scored separately if there are a minimum of 3 entries in the class. This is a 6 race series – if 6 races have been sailed 1 worst score will be dropped.

Prize Giving:

A Prize Giving will be held after each race in the PCC Clubhouse approximately one hour after the last boat finishes. A representative of the winning boats shall be present to claim the prizes.

Disclaimer: Entrants participate entirely at their own risk as per RRS Rule 3 - It is entirely up to the individual skipper to decide. All those taking part in PCC races or any other sailing events controlled by the PCC do so at their own risk.
