The 2^nd PCC Women in Sailing event was a great success with 25 women in attendance. Special thanks to our 2 guest speakers on the night and to Skiff for organising it. 

PCCs very own Vice-President, and publisher of the famous Pickmere Atlas, Janet Watkins, talked about her life in sailing, coaching, and surveying. Janet has been a trailblazer in the sailing world, opening the doors for many women who have come after her. Whenever told "women can’t do that," Janet’s response was always, “well, why not?!” followed closely by, “just watch me.”

2-time Round the World sailor, Keryn McMaster, now working for PredictWind gave us a very interesting talk about weather on the water and weather forecasting. It was fascinating to watch the forecasting models. Our next Women in Sailing night is on the 9^th of August, and we are planning on doing burger night. So come along and join the fun.
