This section is for sailors aged 18+.
Read the information on this page, then use the form at the bottom of the page to let us know you'd like a booking.
We sell our courses by the session. Because we have to work with low ratios anyway, we don't need to limit each session to participants with exactly the same amount of progress. In the same session there might be someone having their first go, someone halfway through the syllabus, and someone else preparing for full out racing within the club or further afield.
We also offer Junior Sailing courses, please see the Junior Sailing page.

The most generalised starting point for new sailors. Book per session to suit your busy life! Two Saturdays or four weeknights gain you your Level 1 (fundamentals) certificate. Doing the same again gains you your Level 2 (race crew) certificate and qualifies you for level 3 (Learn to Race).
These sessions uses Sonar keelboats. These are a 3-5 person vessel (up to four students + a coach). Each sailor will have a chance to learn each role on the sailboat. These sessions are great preparation for joining a rum racing crew, boat ownership, cruising, and more competitive racing.
We have a maximum of 4 sailors in each boat, and two boats, so we can run two courses similtaneously for your benefit on the water. Each boat will have its own coach, so you will have plenty of time to ask questions etc.
These sessions are run on some weeknights and Saturdays - contact us using the form at the bottom of the page and we'll find a time that works for you! Saturdays cost $250 and weeknights cost $125.
Adults Keelboat Learn to Race (Level 3)
These sessions are for those that already have some sailing experience, or who have completed the Learn to Sail Level 1 and Two sessions.
These sessions teach the sailors how to sail faster and introduces racing rules, starts and tactics.
This sessions also use the Sonar keelboats. During competition, these are 3-4 person boats. Each sailor will have a chance to master each role on the sailboat. This course is ideal for those who have enjoyed competitions during level 1 and 2 and who might like to take the helm in some club races on their own or someone else's boat. We'll cover fleet racing, match racing, as well as general racing skills needed regardless of format.
We have a maximum of 8 sailors in each session (across two boats), allowing for effective coaching from our coach boat.

Another great starting point for new sailors! Especially those looking for a steeper learning curve, more independent learning, and a more physical experience.
These sessions loosely follows the Yachting NZ Learn to Sail syllabus and gives sailors the ability to sail around a course, right their boat after capsising, and understand the fundamentals of sailing.
These sessions uses Splash sailing dinghies. These are a single handed vessel, ensuring quick progression and maximum sailing time. No having to share tasks!
We have a maximum of 6 sailors in each course, allowing for significant one on one time with the coach.
Level 1 (Start Sailing) takes four sessions of three hours each. Level 2 (Sail Fast) and Level 3 (Race) each take an additional four sessions.
Each session costs $125.
These sessions are run on some weeknights - contact us using the form at the bottom of the page and we'll find a time that works for you!
