NEW WORLD VICTORIA PARK LIPTON CUP #102

We have a fleet of five definite starters and, weather permitting, possibly 6!

We have had less starters but it is great to see we still have a fleet – thanks Tim for encouraging them!

The starters will be KOMURI with John Grinter at the helm, VALERIA will be helmed by Pier Harrison – Grant is touring South America on a motor bike with his daughter but has trusted his boat to a “responsible” crew who, I am told, may be inexperienced on Mullet boats but regularly race on a variety of boats!

RANGI MANU will be on the start line with Taka & Tim, BUONA SERA who raced to Riverhead last week which join the fleet from Waiheke and Tania will be back on MARTANZA. Weather permitting Chris Harris may be on the start line aboard NGAHERE from Milford Marina.

Dave Nigh and his launch will again be our start boat with Paul Meyer calling the shots. Kevin will be on the WATCHMAN and he needs a crew to man the marks, please! Kevin will have “sole discretion” to allocate the handicaps “based on the season’s results!” Very tricky! Kevin – the call is all yours!! No complaints accepted!

Where is ORION II? Martin is not racing but will be there, helping with the barbecue breakfast or waving flags on the committee boat. Thank you Martin.

Breakfast will be served in the basement same as last year, the usual briefing and handout of the course will follow at 0900 and we will see you all back in the club house after the race for the Prize Giving.
